Late matriarch of the Awolowo family, and wife of late politician Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Chief (Mrs) Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo was Wednesday, laid to rest beside her husband inside the family compound in Ikenne, Ogun state.
Top government officials past and present, business icons, and many more, thronged the venue of the event in Ikenne, Ogun State.

President Muhammadu Buhari along with Past Presidents and Heads of State including; Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Gen. Yakubu Gowon (rtd), Chief Ernest Sonekan, as well as Gen. Oladipo Diya (rtd) were there.
Serving and past governors, including national leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu were also there.
Roll call of dignitaries also included; Former governors of Ogun State; Aremo Olusegun Osoba, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, and also Otunba Subomi Balogun, Alhaji Lateef Jakande, Niyi Adebayo and many others.
Senate President, Bukola Saraki arrived with some members of the Senate.
Governors Olusegun Mimiko, of Ondo State, Ben Ayade of Cross Rivers, Senator Bindow of Adamawa State, Rauf Aregbesola of Osun, Governor Ajimobi of Oyo state, Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos and wife, amongst many others, also coloured the event, as well as Aminu Masari of Katsina, Kaduna State governor, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, the Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu, among a host of others.
