Arik Air, Wednesday, confirmed report of a man who died midway into a flight on one its domestic routes.
The airline said the incident occurred on its flight from Owerri, the Imo State capital, Wednesday afternoon. It, however, did not disclose the identity of the deceased passenger.
“A middle-aged man aboard Arik Air’s Owerri-Lagos flight was this (Wednesday) afternoon confirmed dead by doctors on arrival at the Lagos Airport.
“The passenger boarded the flight from Owerri in the company of a relative. He started showing signs of uneasiness midway into the flight.
“The body of the man has been deposited in the mortuary by the Police while investigation into the immediate cause of death is ongoing,” the airline said in a statement by Adebanji Ola, the PR & Communications Manager of the airline.
