Speaking when he received the Rivers State Coordinator of the NYSC, Mr Henry Enyenihi, Governor Wike said that only bonafide corps members should conduct the rerun elections.
He noted that over 6000 corps members are serving in Rivers State, hence there will be no need to bring students from other institutions to substitute bonafide corps members.
He said: “I appeal to the NYSC management to allow themselves to be manipulated by the leadership of the APC “.
The governor assured the management of the NYSC of the support of the government in ensuring their security. He advised them to work in line with the approved election guidelines.
Rivers State Coordinator of the NYSC, Mr Henry Enyenihi, in his address, said his visit was to seek the collaboration of the governor on the security of the corps members.
