Adeboye continued that the agreement will further trade relations between Nigeria and China and attract more investment from Chinese companies into the country.
Addressing newsmen in Lagos, Adeboye, who was represented by his Special Assistant on Administration and Personnel, Pastor Odesola Johnson, however, urged the Federal Government to increase its investment in infrastructure and social programmes that could attract more investments into the country.
The RCCG leader said he supported the anti-graft campaign of the Federal Government, while advising the government to ensure that Nigeria did not become a dumping ground for substandard goods from China.
“I’m not a politician but I followed the development between Nigeria and China. If the bilateral economic cooperation is properly followed up and each country is faithful to the spirit and letter of the cooperation, the business communities of both countries will benefit. It will be a launching pad for employment generation for our teeming unemployed youths.”
“We have been in affluence over the years. We have been working less than our capacity over the years. We have all been living wasteful and wasted life over the years. But the reality has come to the nation now that we have to be sensible, reasonable, learn skill and learn trade.
He added, “In the next one year, you will see what will happen to the economy of this country. The economic reality will force us to sit down and begin to think. The great nations we have today started with problem. It is problem that brought creativity.
“And if you go to Europe and United States today, even with their development, filled with machinery and equipment, yet people are still thinking to solve micro problems of ordinary people. They ate microscopic in their thinking,” the cleric said.
