The four kidnapped students of the Lagos State Model College in Igbonla, Epe have been freed by their abductors, the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) announced on its Twitter account on Tuesday night.
The students were freed along with their vice principal and teacher, who were abducted with them on Thursday, October 6.
Early reports indicate they were released at about 10:30pm on Tuesday.
Family of one of the kidnapped students reportedly paid a ransom of N1million.
It was not immediately clear if others paid.
The PPRO, Lagos State Command, Dolapo Badmus confirmed their release on a live phone-in television programme, Wednesday morning.
