
The Cross River State Government Tuesday signed a cooperation agreement with the government of the North West Province of South Africa.
Governor Ben Ayade signed on behalf of Cross River while the Premier of the North West Province, Comrade Supra Mahumapelo signed on behalf of his province.
The landmark event took place in Mahikong, the capital city of the North West Province of South Africa.
Tagged the Twin City agreement, the bilateral agreement will see the two sub-nationals leverage on and expand cooperation in areas such as agriculture, livestock and tourism.
Also the two governments agreed to partner to set up an international hotel school in Cross River State.
Speaking at the colourful event, Governor Ayade said the agreement also creates the opportunity to deepen trade as well as people to people engagement.
