Patience Oniha becomes DMO’s DG as Dr. Abraham Nwankwo exits after 10 years in the saddle

Patience Oniha has been appointed the new Director General of the Debt Management Office (DMO).

Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has approved the appointment of Oniha who, until her appointment, was the head of the Efficiency Unit of the Federal Ministry of Finance.

She takes over from Dr. Abraham Nwankwo who stepped aside as the DMO boss after 10 years in the saddle as Director General of the agency.

The new DG, who was a former staff of DMO was seconded to the Ministry of Finance from where she has returned to run the agency.

She formally resumed office on Friday.
