Borno Police nab PDP guber aspirant during Atiku’s visit
BY ABDULLAHI ISAH MAIDUGURI
Operatives of the Nigerian Police have nabbed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Borno, Alhaji Grema Terab in connection with the killing of political supporters in his residence, shortly after the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar left the Fordham’s Hall, the venue of his consultation with supporters of the party in Maiduguri.
The police operatives, who came to the venue of the address in mufti and uniform armed with rifles entered the Hall and quietly awaited for the guest to leave before effecting the arrest.
On noticing the presence of the police, Alhaji Terab started swearing and sweating, as he knew that the police were looking for him.
Immediately after the occasion, as the former Vice President was trying to leave, Terab tried to tag along with him but was quickly pushed aside by the security details attached to the former VP.
The combined team of the Federal Special Anti Robbery Squad (SAS) and the conventional police from the GRA Division of the Nigerian police that effected the arrest whisked Terab out.
It would be recalled that the police have been looking for Alhaji Terab in connection with the murder of political supporters in his house in Maiduguri, despite the warning that he should not hold political gatherings in his house.
