The Public Affairs Section of the United States Consulate General Lagos, Nigeria, is holding the second part of its program titled “Changing the Narrative: The Role of the African Media” on Tuesday, February 11, 2020.
The program, which will bring together journalists, editors, journalism faculty, to discuss the international image of the continent and explore how common perceptions of Africa can be altered, will start at 11:00 a.m at the Multi-Purpose Room, U.S. Consulate General, 2 Walter Carrington Crescent, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.
The program will begin with a video presentation by award-winning American journalist and author, Carol Pineau, followed by a panel discussion featuring:
- Stephanie Busari, West Africa Bureau Chief at CNN
- Lekan Oyekanmi, Nigeria Correspondent at The Associated Press and
- Chamberlain Usoh, Deputy Editor at Channels TV
The discussion will be moderated by Russell Brooks, Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Consulate in Lagos, Nigeria.
