The Akwa Ibom State Referees Council today Thursday August 3, 2023 conducted seminar for it’s candidates ahead of the 2023 Nigeria Referees Association promotion examination.
The Pre-Promotion examination Seminar took place at the conference room of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo with the participants drilled on all 17 laws of the game, expected Current Affairs questions and video analysis as directed by the Council’s training officer Mfon Akpan (FIFA) and a select team of resource persons.
In his remarks at the event, Chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Referees Council Elder Joseph Bassey ably represented by his second Vice Chairman Sir Fabian Ukpong, charged the candidates to ensure that knowledge garnered at the one-day seminar translates to success at the examination slated for 12th August.
In a related development, the Akwa Ibom State Referees Council will on Saturday August 5, 2023 hold it’s Physical fitness test excercise for all active referees in preparation for the 2023/2024 football season.
The fitness test excercise will take place inside the Main Bowl of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo from 6am on Saturday August 5.
