Agbesanwa appointed new DG for Lagos State Sports Commission

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, Friday, approved the appointment of Mr. Ayo Agbesanwa as the Director General, Lagos State Sports Commission.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Habib Aruna, the Governor reiterated his commitment to revive sports development in the state, adding that Agbesanwa’s years of experience in the field will be key to driving the objectives.

Until his appointment, Mr. Agbesanwa was the Director of News at the Lagos Television (LTV), Agidingbi, Ikeja.

He joined the Lagos State Broadcasting Corporation (LSBC) as Current Affairs Officer in 1983 and has worked in various departments especially the sports unit where he presented all sports programmes on LTV for over 15 years.

He was also involved in sports administration and coverage ‎within and outside the country.

His appointment takes immediate effect.
