An icon, Chief Theophilus Amaraihe Nwalor of Ogbor Uvuru, Aboh Mbaise, passes on to glory in USA, at 101
The transition to eternal glory of a legend, Chief Theophilus Amaraihe Nwalor (Ekwueme 1 of Ogbor Uvuru) in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area (LGA) of Imo State, Nigeria, has been announced by the much-beloved Patriarch’s family.
The announcement, by Attorney Daniel Nwalor (Son), on behalf of the family, said that they have accepted the painful loss of Chief Nwalor with total submission to the will of God and with gratitude for the exemplary and fulfilled life of impact that he lived.
Pa Nwalor, a well-known Educationist, dedicated Church Minister, and selfless Community leader, passed on to glory aged101 at the North Central Hospital, Bronx, New York, United States of America (USA), after a brief illness.
Noting that their loss is heaven’s gain, the family pointed out that Chief Nwalor, till his last days, had a deep-rooted faith in Christianity, was totally devoted to the service of the Almighty God, and remained a cultural icon, a staunch advocate for the sustenance of the Igbo traditions and culture.
A philanthropist of note, Chief Nwalor is survived by many all over the world, including Attorney Daniel Nwalor (son), Ugoeze (Lady) Mary Mbalewe (daughter), Lolo Blessing Nwagwu (Daughter), Dr. Uchenna Nwalor (son), HRH Eze (Sir) Iheanacho Mbalewe (son in-law), Nze Uzoma Nwagwu (son in-law), Lady Cecilia Nwalor (Daughter in-law), Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and relatives too numerous to mention.
The family quoted 2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith,” as what their Patriarch must have recited as he passed on to glory, and they prayed that God will grant his humble soul eternal peaceful rest.
They also assured that details of the funeral rites will be communicated to all those across the world who are mourning the exit of their irreplaceable Patriarch.
