Captain Elechi Amadi wrote one of the finest prose works when he authored ‘The Concubine’ – an in-depth, intense, and well measured report, especially, as it concerns practises among his Ikwerre people. He deserves every recognition and honour the writing body, ANA, and or, any institutions may desire to accord him. Also, many keen watchers of important Nigerian events who may be lucky to attend the August event would be excited to see the likes of our eminent Chief Emeka Anyaoku, former Secretary General of the Commonwealth who has for some time not been as visible in national matters as would have been expected.
