Chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State, Deacon Sidi Dressman Godwill has accused immediate past president, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan of withholding properties of former governor of the state, Chief Diepreye Alamieseyegha.
Godwill who spoke to newsmen in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state capital over the weekend while reacting to issues of national interest, accused Jonathan of seizing a black-coloured BMW 5 series bullet Proof, belonging to Alamieseyegha and a house located at Maitama, Abuja.
Deacon Godwill who was also the former Zonal youth leader, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), South/South claims the bullet proof BMW car was bought and given to DSP Alamieseyegha by a friend, adding further that the said properties were seized by Jonathan when he was the Acting governor of the state before becoming the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
The party chieftain who carpeted Jonathan for being instrumental to the removal of Alamieseyegha from office as governor, said the seizure of the two properties belonging to Chief Alamieseyegha by the ex president happened in 2006, insisting that Jonathan should return the properties to Chief Alamieseyegha .
On the seized building property at Miatama, Abuja, the APC stalwart said the building is currently in the possession of Chief E J Turner, a kinsman to the former President.
Godwill also called on the leadership of the National Assembly to summon ex President Jonathan to give account of the abducted Chibok girls by Boko Haram, maintaining that if the former President fails to give account of the abducted girls, the party will file a law suit against him at the International Court of Justice, Hague.
He noted that the ex president conceded election defeat to President Muhammadu Buhari as a way of hiding from his political atrocities.
“Conceding defeat to President Buhari is not enough for Jonathan to cover up his political sins. We believe that conceding defeats is a ploy to cover up his political atrocities he committed while in office,” Godwill said.
On 2016 governorship poll in Bayelsa state, The APC chieftain said the party is strategizing to take over power from the People’s Democratic party PDP led by Governor Seriake Dickson.
He stated that the party is confident of capturing the seat of power from PDP-led government in the state, noting that there is no democratic government in Bayelsa state under Dickson.
“Dickson government is far from the people, there are so much anger and hungry, poverty and insecurity in the state. I am so confident that APC will take over power from Dickson led administration, today if there is an election, I m sure that PDP will only score 10 per cent, while APc will score 90 per cent.”
