APC Convention: Tinubu ahead of Amaechi, Osinbajo, Lawan, others

Two term Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is leading in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primaries still going on at the Eagle Square in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital as at press time.

Tinubu was ahead of the other contestants for the party’s ticket for the 2023 presidential election as at the last count, by a wide margin, with former Transportation Minister, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Senate President, Ahmed Lawan and others trailing behind him.

The winner of the election, who would become the flagbearer of the party in the 2023 presidential election will be officially announced as soon as the counting of the ballots is concluded.
