APC House of Reps aspirant distributes foodstuffs, other items worth N4.2m to constituents

Engr Marcus Adedinni, contesting for the House of Representatives’ seat of Ife Federal Constituency of Osun State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has distributed foodstuffs and other items worth N4.2 million to his constituents.

Adedinni did the distribution of the items at the Cooperative Markets & Produce Nigeria Limited Hall, Ife City Area, on Friday, stating that the motivation for the programme was his desire to alleviate poverty amidst his people.

“Poverty is behind the increase in the rate of crime in the society today. Majority of graduates are jobless, trying to find their means of survival has led some of them to committing atrocities.

“But giving them food and some of these items would at least reduce their stress,” he stated.

According to him, 1000 bags of 5kg of rice; 300 bags of 5kg of beans, 200 bags of 5kg of garri, school bags with other writing materials were distributed to the recipients.

The APC aspirant explained that 1,500 bags of foodstuffs and writing materials, with a total value of N4.2 million were given out.

He said that the programme of distribution of foodstuffs and other items to the party members would assist to alleviate poverty in among the people of the Federal Constituency, stressing that is also a way of sharing dividends of democracy to masses.

Adedinni also pledged that if he is given the opportunity to get the mandate of the people to represent them, he’ll transform the lives of the citizenry.
