Akwa Ibom Democratic Forum (ADF) has hailed the All Progressives Congress (APC) State Organizing Secretary of the Caretaker Committee, Hon. Aboh Uduyok for saving the party from impending doom.
Director – General of ADF, Hon Ekperikpe Ekpo, who also congratulated the chapter executives elected in last Saturday’s Congress across the 31 Local Government Areas of the state, in a statement after the Congress, said that Hon. Uduyok’s “courage to stand on the side of the people and truth has saved our great party from what was almost an impending doom and a further alienation from the party’s committed drive to take over the Hilltop Mansion come 2023.”
He said that Hon. Uduyok proved that he is steadfast, upright and committed to the ideals of democracy, noting that the Organising Secretary of the Caretaker Committee was “empowered by Article 14, sub-section 14 of the APC Constitution which domiciles the power to conduct congresses in his office in compliance with the strict guidelines of the party.”

He also expressed appreciation to the State Organizing Secretary of the Caretaker Committee, Hon. Aboh Uduyok for his steadfastness, uprightness and commitment to the ideals of democracy.
According to him, Hon. Uduyok was empowered by Article 14, sub-section 14 of APC Constitution which domiciles the power to conduct congresses in his office in compliance with the strict guidelines of the party.

Hon. Ekpo stressed that, with the faithful intervention of the Organizing Secretary, APC is once again reinvented and reinvested with appropriate democratic ethos that would endear it to more people and expand the coast of its membership in Akwa Ibom.
The statement added that, “the Chapter Congress which was credible, free and fair has once again established APC as a progressive party with mass followership and formidable support base that makes it the party to beat in any election in the State and country at large.
“ADF is therefore happy to identify with the Congress which held last Saturday most of them in the party offices and some in well publicised city centres with unhindered access to party members who thronged the arenas to witness the process to exercise their franchise”.
Obong Ekperkpe further explained that, Saturday’s exercise was a proof that APC has the capacity to midwife and sustain a quality election, where the voice of the people would be heard and considered at the centre of policy and decision making.
The ADF D-G, also thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for adhering to democratic ideals that was witnessed in the congresses across Nigeria.
“We are indebted to our Grand leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio who has provided the dependable leadership that has galvanized members in consciousness, commitment and inspired vigilance towards ensuring the sustenance of democratic ethos”.
ADF expressed special gratitude to the stakeholders and leaders in the State especially, His Excellency Sam Enwang, Atuekong Don Etiebet, Senator Ita Enang, Hon. Eseme Eyibo, Obong Maurice Ebong, Otu Ita Toyo, Barr Effiong Akwa, and a host of others for standing by the truth.
Ekpo who said that ADF will remain committed to the ideals of APC pledged the unalloyed loyalty of the group to President Buhari’s administration while submitting wholly to the leadership of Senator Godswill Akpabio.
Ekpo, urged the newly elected chapter chairmen to be magnanimous in victory and work to grow the party in leaps and bounds.
