President Buhari decorates new acting IGP as Arase retires

President Muhammadu Buhari, Tuesday, in Abuja decorated Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Ibrahim Kpotum Idris from Niger with a new rank of (acting) Inspector-General of Police.
President Buhari appointed Mr ‎ Ibrahim Idris‎ Kpotum as the new Inspector General of Police following the retirement of Mr Solomon Arase after 35 years of service.
Arase accompanied the new IG to the president’s office when the appointment was made.
Prior to his appointment, Idris was Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Operations.
