The Ex Borno state commissioner for information and culture and now the publisher of National Trail Newspapers, Mr. Inuwa Bwala has alleged that the Borno state government and the state police command are planning to kill him.

A credible source close to Mr. Inuwa Bwala said on Monday that he is currently hospitalized for hypoglacimia “low sugar level” at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH), Maiduguri, in the state capital.

In his text massage which was made available to journalists in Maiduguri this morning, INUWA Bwala writes: “I have it on good intelligence that these people are planning to murder me as they don’t have any clear case.”

The source added that the embattled ex-commissioner got the planned murder execution before being arraigned to court from a reliable source in Maiduguri metropolis.

It could be recalled that the former commissioner was arrested last week on his way to his office in Abuja by security operatives, before being brought to Borno Police Command, and detained at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

The arrest and detention was as a result of a petition written by the state deputy governor, Usman Durkwa, that Bwala was part of the five accused persons; allegedly involved in the attack on and attempted murder of Durkwa in Marama town on the eve of the 2015 Presidential election.
