The Niger Delta region was adequately represented at the very colorful Annual Guards Brigade Regimental Dinner, hosted by President Muhammudu Buhari last Friday, at the Presidential Villa, which had in attendance top ranking military officials, both serving and retired.
The Commander of the 7 Division Operation Lafiya Dole, Maiduguri, North East Nigeria, General Leo Irabor and the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta Affairs and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Brigadier General Paul Tarela Boroh (Rtd), who are both Niger Delta sons, were present at the occasion.
General Leo Irabor led the division that just recently took over the popular Sambisa forest from the Boko Haram terrorists, while General Paul Tarela Boroh (Rtd), is currently responsible for the management of the 30,000 Niger Delta Ex Militants, captured in the Presidential Amnesty Programme. Both men are playing very critical roles in the stability of the Nation, and have shown high capacity to handle the tasks assigned them.
