President Muhammadu Buhari has joined leaders and members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and other well-wishers across the world in celebrating the General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, on his 81st birthday, today, Thursday, March 2, 2023.
This is as the Special Holy Ghost Service of the RCCG, with the theme “God of Breakthroughs,” started at the Redemption City, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway today, March 2, 2023.
The programme will end on Sunday, March5, 2023 and is featuring prevailing prayers, praise and worship sessions, word ministrations, prophetic declarations and testimonies of miracles, signs and wonders.
Already, the expansive Redemption City is bubbling with activities as worshippers have since started filling up the grounds with more people still coming in from all over the world.
Friday will feature the Holy Ghost Service night of the programme and top government functionaries, religious leaders from within Nigeria and several other countries and ministries usually attend the Services which are also broadcast live to worshippers across the world.
A statement by Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to President Buhari on Media & Publicity said that Buhari is “rejoicing with the religious leader, who left his academic career to fully commit to serving the Lord.
“The President equally felicitates with family, friends and other church leaders within and outside the country, thankful for Adeboye’s positive influence on people and institutions, with a focus on expanding the kingdom of God on earth.
“Recalling the visits and prayers, especially when he was ill and recuperating, President Buhari remains grateful for the friendliness and wise counsels of the General Overseer over many years.
“The President prays that the Almighty God will continue to bless and guide Pastor Adeboye and his family,” the statement concluded.
