Celebrating Black History Month: Dr. Khalfani speaks on “Black Votes Matter”

In continuation of the celebration of the Black History Month, marked annually every February, Dr. Akil Khalfani, Director of Essex County College, New Jersey, United States of America (USA)’s Africana Institute, will, tomorrow, February 8, 2022, speak on “Black Votes Matter.”

A Professor of Sociology, a political activist and social crusader, Dr. Khalfani will be enlightening those who would log into the Virtual program from across the world on all about voter suppression in the United States and its impact on representation.

Khalfani, who has been a strong advocate of greater unity among the African and diaspora community, is running for U.S. Congress and promises to be a major voice for Black immigrants, a champion of peace in Africa and a motivator of the building of collective resources in Black communities around the world.

The “Black Votes Matter” event takes off at 2:30 PM on zoom and participants are to log in using ID: 428-314-0560.
