Okonjo-Iweala, Oduwole, Olusi, others light up Nigeria House, Davos

Nigeria House in Davos, Switzerland came alive during a fireside chat that featured the Director General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and the Managing Director/CEO of the Bank of Industry (BOI), Dr. Olasupo Olusi.
The programme, hosted by Nigeria’s Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole, and moderated by Ronke Akinkugbe-Filani, had as central issue the opportunities that exist for Nigeria and Africa in the present turbulent global trade environment and how they can seize these opportunities.
Dr. Okonjo-Iweala, in an X (former Twitter) post said the event witnessed “a full house and a packed audience …at the Nigerian Pavilion (Nigeria House) ” concluding that they had “a very lively audience of young Nigerian entrepreneurs and others.”  
The event took place on the sidelines of this year’s Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum, which started on January 19 and will end tomorrow, January 23, 2026.
World leaders, including the United States’ President, Donald Trump, policy makers, and top business figures from around the world are attending the meetings and Nigeria is represented.
