Governor Mohammad Abdullahi Abubakar of Bauchi state, has urged tourists to visit the state, stressing that the state is safe and boasts of good facilities.
Governor Abubakar, who took to his twitter handle, called on Nigerians to holiday in Yankari, Bauchi state, as it is now too expensive to do so in Dubai and London at the prevailing exchange rates.
The governor in tweets allayed any security fears, saying that Bauchi is not only safe and secure, the people are also peace loving and accommodating.
He further stated that his administration will take advantage of the slump in international tourism to grow the local economy, and that Yankari Games Reserve remains pivotal to the growth of tourism in the state.
