Global Launch of Advocacy of the UN Permanent Forum on People of African Descent on the Situation in Haiti holds Wednesday, March 26

A side event to the Human Rights Council 58th session on the Global Launch of the Advocacy of the UN Permanent Forum on People of African Descent on the Situation in Haiti will take place tomorrow, Wednesday 26 March 2025, from 3 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.  (Geneva time) online.

To be Chaired by the President of the Permanent Forum on People of African Descent (PFPAD), Her Excellency Ms. June Soomer,  the program will have, Speaking as panellists, Ms. Gaynel Curry, Member of the Permanent Forum on People of African Descent and Mr. William O’Neill, The High Commissioner’s designated Expert on the human rights situation in Haiti.

Other panellists are H.E. Ms. Ann-Kathryne Lassegue, Ambassador at the Permanent Mission of Haiti to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, and Mr. Max Jean-Louis, President of Atabey – Storytelling and Cultural Institute and consultant for Interconnected Justice.
