A new Secretary to the Gombe State Government (SSG), Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, has been sworn-in by Governor Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya.
The Governor equally swore-in Alhaji Bappayo Yahaya as the new Head of Civil Service of the State.
The Governor called on them to maintain a high sense of responsibility and bring their wealth of experience to bear in the conduct of their official duties.
Governor Inuwa equally called on civil servants and the entire people of the State to continue to work hard and cooperate with the new appointees to ensure better service delivery and improve the well being of people of the State.
He said Government was aware of the challenges militating against effective performance of the State Civil Service.
The Governor therefore pledged that his Government shall take steps to address them in order to fast-track an all inclusive development in the State.
“Government would redefine it’s priorities to ensure that only people oriented and developmental projects are implemented for the overall benefit of the State. I therefore call on the good people of the State to continue to cooperate with the Government in this regard”, the Governor stated.
Responding on behalf of the appointees, the new SSG, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, assured that they will work assiduously in line with the Government’s policy to deliver on the Government’s campaign promises.
He said, ” we will assure you that we will work 24 hours. We will immediately go to the office and make a blue print of the way forward for the Government”, he assured.
