Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has affirmed his determination to construct Inyaba/Amagunze Bridge to alleviate the problems of the people of the area, cut off by the bridge
Governor Ugwuanyi in a speech when on an inspection visit to the bridge assured that despite the economic meltdown, he would construct the bridge to link up the people of the area and other communities in the council area.
He thanked the people for their support to his administration, adding that he would not take their support for granted.
The governor earlier visited Uzam Community Primary Schools 1 and 2 where he promised that his administration would continue to provide enabling environment to facilitate teaching and learning in schools in the state to promote nurturing of future leaders of the state.
He announced a surprise gift for the pupils of the two primary schools located in one compound who would get brand new school uniforms from the state government in appreciation of their show of love and support for the governor as they trouped out in their numbers to welcome the governor who passed by their school.
In their separate remarks, the Secretary to the State Government, Elder Gabriel Ajah, the Chairman of the Nkanu East council area, Hon. Godwin Okeagu and the member representing the local government in the state House of Assembly, Hon Paul Nnajiofor and Justice Emma Nnamani, all indigenes of the area commended Governor Ugwuanyi for his visit and assured him of their continued support.
In the words of the former chairman of the local government, Pastor Sam Iyiogwe, “Governor Ugwuanyi is an extra-ordinary governor chosen by God to redeem his people.” He assured the governor of the unalloyed support of the people to his administration.
