High powered Committee of eminent personalities constituted for Obi Senator Nosike Ikpo’s burial
A high powered Committee has been constituted to give the departed elder statesman, Obi Senator Nosike Ikpo, a befitting burial.
The Committee, made up of 16 eminent personalities, announced by Eugene Ikpo on behalf of the family, has Dr. Austin Izagbo, Ogbueshi Adizue Eluaka and Chief Felix Nwabueze as Co-Chairmen.
Hon. Barr. Princess Pat Ajudua and Dr. Austin Obidi are the Anchors while Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei, Hon. Ossai Ossai, Hon. Victor Nwaokolo and Hon. Ndudi Elumelu are members of the Committee.
Other members of the Committee, which has Mr. Charles Ojakovo as Financial Secretary and Hon. Onyeanyana Okafor as Secretary, are Hon. Pascal Adigwe, Chief Peter Okocha, Hon. Mrs Joan Mrakpor, Hon. Ned Nwoko and Senator Patrick Osakwe.
Eugene Ikpo, in the statement, announced that Obi Senator Nosike Ikpo passed on in the early hours Saturday, January 23, 2021 and thanked all those who have since been commiserating with the family on the passage of their distinguished Patriarch.
He acknowledged that his trail-blazing father and political icon had a political family, hence the constitution of a Burial Committee made up of illustrious personalities, all of who, he said, have consented to work with the family to give the Second Republic Senator a well deserved, befitting burial.
