It was gathered that a group of heavily armed gunmen yesterday abducted her along Benin-Agbor Road.
The kidnappers are also said to have made contact with Mr. Emefiele and are demanding N100 million ransom.
Efforts to contact the CBN spokesman, Mr. Isaac Okoroafor, have so far, been unsuccessful.
A source in the office of the Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, told GPN that the state government is concerned about the incident but that the matter is a national affair and a top priority issue which is being tackled by the security agencies, expressing confidence that the lady would soon be rescued from her abductors.
