
Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has assured that the 34-kilometre Ndioji-Ndiokereke-Arochukwu Road would be completed by December this year.
Ikpeazu who gave the assurance while inspecting the progress of work on the road which was started by Chief T.A. Orji administration, explained that work on the road which had been stalled for some time, would recommence soon, adding that he was passionate about the plight of Arochukwu people over bad road network in their area.
He said he was happy that 7 kilometres of the road has been asphalted so far with an additional 7 kilometres stone-based and commended the contractor handling the project, Master Services, for the quality job done on the road.
Briefing the governor at the road site, the contractor assured that the road would be realised by December this year if the major bridge linking the road is built simultaneously with the road.
