InfoWARE Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MOU, with GTI to deliver top of the line Trade Simulation Solution to run on the prestigious GTI Trading Floor for training purposes.
InfoWARE is Nigeria’s foremost Independent Software Vendor (ISV). It is also one of the leaders in delivering Enterprise Resource Planning software across different sectors.
Together, InfoWARE and GTI are partnering around trade simulation and training to both address the need for skills acquisition in Nigeria and Africa and to increase exposure of the Nigerian markets to both local and foreign players.
The GTI Trading Floor is an initiative of GTI Securities Limited, a dealing member of The Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE, and a member of The GTI Group. A private trading floor and first of its kind in Sub-Saharan Africa, the GTI Trading Floor is designed to run as a service for capital market operators and users.
The trading floor, located in the heart of the business district of Lagos, has a scalable capacity of 150 users with state of the art trading technology connected to the NSE and the NASD as well as connectivity with settlement agents and banks for straight through processing transactions.
By the MoU, InfoWARE would provide a state of the art stock trading platform through its InfoWARE Market Data Terminal (IMDT) solution that would mimic the real-life trading transactions performed on the floor of the NSE.
The application will be used primarily for training purposes using real-time simulation and training scenarios based on real market data. The Trade Simulation Solution will give users professional level analysis tools on how to test their trading abilities and skills
Part of this training collaboration would include fundamental as well as technical analysis that would allow participants to get a first-hand feel of the real trading experience without the risks involved. Research shows that individual investors learn from invaluable lessons from such trading experiences.
This partnership would create a real but safe environment for participants to trade, learn, and get better at making investment decisions; something that should be a key part of every organization’s investing strategy.
InfoWARE insists that they are dedicated to delivering a world class, highly efficient, resilient and secure trading platform that is the standard for the rest of Africa to follow.
