Issue a rebuttal now, Amaeze tells Bianca

Mrs Bianca Ojukwu

Dr.  Joseph Amaeze has urged the wife of  Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu to issue a rebuttal against the interview granted by Chief Victor Umeh in the Vanguard Newspaper of April 6th, 2017, where he said that “Ojukwu Threatened to slap Mr. Peter Obi”, when he was still the Governor.

In an open letter to Her Excellency, Mrs Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, which has gone viral on social network, Dr. Amaeze said that the statement was careless and reckless and capable of portraying Ojukwu as a beast and will certainly reduce his respect in the society.

The full text of his letter reads:

“One of the things that make Her Excellency, Mrs. Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu to be respected in Nigeria today, especially among the Igbos was the way she took care of our idol, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu till he died.

We are pleased that she has continued to respect him even in death. During the anniversary of his death, she always buys pages of the newspapers for remembrances.

On Saturday, the 6th of April, Chief Victor Umeh’s interview was published in Vanguard Newspaper. Where he was trying so hard to demonize Mr. Peter Obi, he ended up messing Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu up. I have spoken to many Nigerians and many Nigerians have spoken back to me on that news, where Chief Victor Umeh said Ojukwu wanted to slap Mr. Peter Obi when he was still the Governor.

Her Excellency, by that statement, whether true or false, Chief Umeh has portrayed Dim as an agbero and an uncultured man. You must therefore call Umeh to retract it or you have to issue a rebuttal.

I do not care what Chief Umeh says about Obi, Chekwas or anybody, but he must keep Ojukwu out of his madness.

Please kindly do us the favour of a rebuttal, otherwise tomorrow, somebody writing on Ojukwu would include barbarism as one of his attributes and use Chief Victor Umeh’s interview as a proof.”
