Onwusika Somkenechukwu, a Grade 6 pupil of Lara Day School made the school proud with his outstanding performance which he maintained from the qualifying rounds that had over 400 pupils.
Somkenechukwu came 1st position in the 2018 SMEC, while Chrisland Schools and Mind Builders Schools were among the top 10 finalists with Majekodunmi Subomi also of Lara Day School coming 9th.
Prior to this, Lara Day School also participated in a Science competition organized by The Bells School, Ota Ogun State, where it emerged the‘Best in Science’ among other schools.
Commenting on the achievements, the Executive Director, Lara Day School, Mrs. Olatomi Keleko
noted that the brilliance exhibited by the pupilsreflected the school’s commitment to high academic standards that help to raise academically sound pupils over the years.
