Matriarch of Achonu family, late Golden Mother (Lady) Martha Chioma Achonu for burial Saturday, November 26

The Matriarch of the Achonu family, Golden Mother (Lady) Martha Chioma Achonu, will be laid to rest on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Achonu’s Family Compound after a Burial Mass 10:00AM by His Lordship, Most Rev. Solomon A. Amatu, Catholic Bishop of Okigwe, at St. Charles Catholic Church, Umunumo, Ehime Mbano Local Government Area (LGA) of Imo State, Nigeria.

A notice by Chief Christian C. Achonu (for the Achonu Family), said that the Funeral Programme for the departed Golden Mother will begin today, Friday November 25, 2022, with a Vigil Mass at 5:00PM at the Family’s Compound at Umuokiri, Umunumo, Ehime Mbano LGA, Imo State.

A beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, late Lady Martha Chioma Achonu, a philanthropist of note and a celebrated Christian and Community leader, is being mourned by many across the world who were positively impacted by her life and times.

Dignitaries from all over the world, representing all walks of life, including political leaders, business chiefs and the Clergy, will converge on Umunumo to pay their last respects to the mother in a million and to stand with her family in their time of grief.
