Men’s Empowerment Meeting holds in Paterson, New Jersey USA August 28


The program is being put together by Shombay The Trainer in collaboration with Buds & Umoja & The Street Keepers, and will take place at Christopher Hope Center, Paterson, New Jersey from 11.30 AM to 4.30 PM.
The event, according to the organizers, is meant “to promote and inspire stability, healing and leadership of our families and community,” and key speakers include Dr. Akil Khalfani, Professor and Director of the Africana Institute of Essex College, Shombay Burton (Shombay The Trainer), a holistic fitness trainer/mentor and Rahshon Dixon, Founder of The Street Keepers.
Others are Taharka Sankara (MSW, LCSW, LCADC), Zellie Thomas, Community Organizer and Educator, Akbar Mcentyre (MSW, LCADC, CEO Humble Beginnings Inc and Taahir Andrew’s, a Landlord & Property Manager, Real Estate Developer, Licensed Realtor and Realist.
The program is free and the organizers have assured that there will be lunch for all who attend.
