N/Delta group, MOSIEND applauds Olu of Warri for peace in his domain

The Movement for the Survival of the Izon Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta (MOSIEND) says the past three years of the reign of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse lll, has brought peace and development to the land and to the Itsekiri people.

MOSIEND made this known in a statement issued on Friday in commemoration of the 3rd anniversary of the young king.

The statement signed by the president of MOSIEND, Dr. Kennedy Tonjo West, described Ogiame as a visionary leader.

MOSIEND noted that the monarch has made significant impact in the lives of his people, saying that the Itsekiri people have never reached such magnificent heights in terms of human capital development, peace, progress and respect for the throne.

According to the MOSIEND President, Ogiame has ruled his people with much wisdom, strength and courage, and is repositioning his people to the extent that people of other ethnic nationalities are happy to identify with Itsekiris all of the world.

He said more than ever before, there is robust, peaceful coexistence between the Itsekiris and their brothers – one that will not be broken in a thousand years to come.

He said MOSIEND is happy with the way and manner Ogiame has been able to pilot the affairs of the throne with such charisma and power to the extent that more people are beginning to have high regards for traditional institutions – a culture which was almost lost and forgotten.

West prayed God to grant the monarch more strength and wisdom, courage and good health to pilot the affairs of his people.
