President Bola Tinubu on Monday met with Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State at the State House, Abuja.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the meeting comes amid speculations of Yusuf’s possible defection from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The visit marked the governor’s first known audience with President Tinubu since the President’s return from Abu Dhabi, where he attended the 2026 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.
Details of the closed-door meeting were not disclosed to State House correspondents.
It is, however, believed to be linked to ongoing consultations on political realignments.
