The newly deployed Bauchi state police commissioner, Baba Tijjani, has called on the public to support him in his commitment to ensure effective policing even as he promised to tackle the alarming indices of crimes in the state.

Baba Tijjani stated this in a familiarization briefing to newsmen at the police headquarters in Bauchi state.

“As the newly deployed CP to the state, I will study the situation before unveiling my mission and vision in the state, “ he said.

Tijjani reiterated the commitment of the command readiness to improve on the current security situation in the state.

The command throughout his tenure, he said will not relent in its renewed determination to nip in the bud cases of crimes in the state.

“Our duty as police is among others to protect lives and property of the citizenry as well as to curtail any possible up-rising,” he said.

He then appealed to the general public to always provide useful information to the police to assist in reducing the rate of crime in the state.
