As elsewhere, some Nigerians died as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic within the jurisdiction of the Nigerian Consulate General in New York, including some medical personnel who heroically battled in the frontlines to contend with the pandemic but fell.
Officials of the Consulate General also fought gallantly to respond to the different needs of Nigerians within their area of coverage during the trying times.
Family members, friends and associates of the victims of the pandemic, officials of the Consulate General, Nigerians and friends of Nigeria from all over the world are expected to be part of this historic Remembrance Ceremony, both on site and online.
