The Nigerian Society for Engineers (NSE) Aeronautic Division have called on the Minister for Transport, Rt Hon. Rotimi Amaechi and the Minister for State, Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika to support activities that would lead to increased indigenous participation and local content capacity development in the aviation industry.

The Society made this known in separate letters to both Ministers today signed by National Chairman, Engineer Bola Akinribido and National Secretary Engineer Patrick Achurefe while offering congratulatory messages and asked them not to rest on their oars in ensuring the total growth of the industry.

The Society further hailed the choice of President Mohammed Buhari stressing that there is no debate since the president has belief in the abilities of the appointees to move the industry forward.

The letter in part read, ”We are convinced that your appointment is a testimony to your managerial competence and the presidents belief in your ability to move forward the aviation industry in this critical era.”

“We acknowledge your commitment towards promoting a safe, vibrant and efficient aviation industry in Nigeria with your uncompromising attitude on good governance. We therefore commit you to the hands of the Almighty God to strengthen and guide you to success amidst the challenges in your high office.”

“While pledging the full support and cooperation of the NSE, Aeronautic Division, we humbly request that you continue to support us in our activities to promote indigenous participation and local content capacity development in the Nigerian Aviation industry,” the letter concluded.
