Nigeria felicitates U.S., over 248th independence anniversary

The Federal Government of Nigeria has felicitated the United States (U.S), on the country’s celebration of its 248th independence anniversary.
In a statement on Friday by Ambassador Eche Abu-Obe, spokesperson, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Federal Government commended the mutual relations between Nigeria and the U.S., noting that it has been built on solid grounds.
“Nigeria wishes to draw on the longstanding and cordial relationship with the U.S., to congratulate President Joe Biden and indeed the entire citizenry on the 248th anniversary of their independence.
“Nigeria is mindful of the strides made via our collective collaborations in areas of economic affiliations, as well as engendering global peace and security.
“The U.S should count on the support of Nigeria to advance issues geared at inducing peace while discouraging and preventing conflict in all its forms.
“Once again, congratulations,” he said.
