2023: Adeboye insists that God has not spoken; Says those prophesying who will win are lying

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, G.O, RCCG

General Overseer (GO) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has, again, said that God has not spoken concerning whether there will be general elections this year or who would win the Presidential polls if there was to be elections.

He, therefore, said that anybody prophesying who will win the election is lying and deceiving the people and should be ignored, urging, however, that every eligible voter must go and get their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) and be ready to perform their civic duties once time comes to do so.

Pastor Adeboye, who said these at the Church’s first Holy Ghost Service for the year yesterday, Friday, January 6, 2023, insisted that God has been very quiet about this year’s elections for one reason or the other, stressing that it is very important for all registered voters to go and collect their PVCs and be ready, pointing out that if God has not spoken by election day, people should go out and vote as they are led by the Spirit of God.

He said it is important for every child of God to be able to hear clearly from God so that they will not be misled by those parading themselves as prophets but many of who are fakes.

The highly respected Cleric noted that most of the political actors of the day had been going around renting crowds for their campaigns, wondering what would become of the crowds after the elections when there will be no one to rent them anymore.

The theme of the January Holy Ghost Service was WONDERFUL and Pastor Adeboye preached to the capacity crowd of worshippers using 2 Kings 2:8-15 as anchor Scripture.

He also declared that the annual new year fasting and prayer programme of the Church will last 50 days from January 11 to March 1, 2023. Those who want to fast and pray straight without breaking will do 21 days; those who are between 70 and 80 years who elect to be part of the 50 days programme are to break their fast at 3pm daily while those who are 80 years and above who want to participate should break at 12 noon daily.

Anyone who misses one day should add two days at the end of the 50 days, Pastor Adeboye said concerning the annual fasting and prayer programme that is observed globally by members of the Church.
