Nneoma Jane Ezioma Ugenyi, Matriarch of Ugenyi family, goes home, Friday, April 17; Celebrated in New Jersey, USA
All is set for the final home going ceremony in honour of Nneoma Jane Ezioma Ugenyi, nee Asiegbu, the Matriarch of the Ugenyi family of Umuenwere, Amafor Isingwu, Umuahia North Local Government Area (LGA) of Abia State, Nigeria.
Nneoma Jane Ugenyi, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend of many, was born on August 31, 1943, and passed onto glory on December 26, 2025, aged 82.
A notice by Enyinnaya Anosike Ugenyi, for the family, says concerning the funeral arrangements, that there will be a Service of Songs on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at St. John’s Methodist Church Nigeria, Amafor-Isingwu, from 5:00PM.
On Friday, April 17, 2026, the body leaves Madonna Mortuary at 8:00AM for her father’s compound at Umuohuru Okaiuga Nkwoegwu Umuahia North LGA; and lies in state in her husband’s compound at Umuenwere Amafor Isingwu, Umuahia North LGA from 9:00AM.
A Funeral Service will then hold at the National War Museum, Ugwunchara, Umuahia, Abia State, from 11:00AM, followed immediately by Internment.
The highly respected community leader and fervent Christian Mother, who has impacted many across the world, is being mourned globally by those who benefitted from her famed philanthropy and wise counsels.
In New Jersey, United States of America (USA), where a Celebration of Life Service was held in her honour at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), in Orange, there were testimonies galore concerning the glorious life that she lived and the enduring legacies that she has left behind.
As family, friends and associates from far and near gather to bid her a final farewell, the prayer of all is that those left behind will emulate the extraordinary legacies she has bequeathed to the world.
