Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State

A contender to the Olumoru Obaship in Ondo state has called on the people not to be swayed by the activities of one of the Princes which have led to tension in the community.

In a statement he made available to Newsmen in Akure, Prince Ade Okiki, a retired Permanent Secretary, said he did not at anytime mobilize youths in the community to disrupt the peace.
His reaction was coming following his invitation by the police area commander in Owo after one of the contenders to the Olumoru stool reported him to the police.
Prince Okiki also debunked  his purported remand in prison on the orders of a Magistrate Court saying it was a fabrication from his opponents in their attempt to cause crisis in the community.
Selection of a monarch for Imoru community in Ose local government has been dragging for over eight years as a result of legal hurdles initiated by some of the kingmakers over the state government’s move to foist on them warrant chiefs.
“If the trademark of a monarch to be is to tell lies, how can such a community make progress? The police have conducted their investigation and found out that some of the allegations cannot be substantiated,” he added.
