Obi-Datti Campaign mourns lady shot during Presidential Election

The Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign mourns the untimely death of Mrs. Elizabeth Owie, who was shot by suspected thugs at her polling unit in Ogheghe Health Center, Ward 9, Ikpoba Okha Local Government, Edo State, during the Presidential election on February 25, 2023.

A statement by Diran Onifade, Head, Obi-Datti Media, said “We believe that her death was the handiwork of agents of darkness who are resisting the push for a better Nigeria.

“She will be remembered for her contributions towards making Nigeria greater.

“We hereby express our heartfelt sympathy to her family members and friends.

“The Obidient family has expressed the desire to participate in the service of songs and candle night as a mark of last respect for late Mrs. Owie who will be buried on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at her residence in Benin, Edo State.

“We also call on the Nigeria Police to arrest and prosecute the killers of Mrs. Owie and ensure that justice is served.”
