A healthy lifestyle starts with you because it requires personal commitment and choices regarding nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management, and overall well-being. Your habits and behaviors are important in determining your health and quality of life. The hard truth is, if you die as a result of self-negligence and pursuit of the shadow, your replacement is around the corner. Always remind yourself that nobody is indispensable in life. The earlier you start being responsible for your life, the better for you.

Mental well-being is important for an individual’s ability to cope with life’s stresses, work productively, and contribute to their family and community. It is important to have good mental health because it influences how we think and feel. It is also important to be aware that mental well-being and mental health problems are two different things. Mental well-being is more than simply the absence of mental health problems. Someone with no diagnosed mental health problems may still have poor mental well-being. A mental health problem becomes effective when it significantly alters feelings, thoughts, and behavior, making it difficult to cope. Mental well-being is important because it can affect how we think, feel, and deal with difficult times in our lives. Individuals with good mental well-being are more likely to feel the full potential of happiness and success.

Mindfulness involves paying attention to the present moment, on purpose, and without judgment. Mindfulness, originating from religious meditation practices, is an effective method for sustaining mental well-being. Experts recommend mindfulness-based cognitive therapy for individuals experiencing recurrent episodes of depression.
