The one-year Memorial Service for Nnenna Mary Mbagwu, an Assistant Controller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) (Rtd) who passed on to glory at 66 on December 12, 2020, will hold on Sunday, December 12, 2021.
Daughter of the late Mr. Innocent Mbagwu of Umuokoro Umuariam Obowo, Imo State, Nigeria, Nnenna Mbagwu was a highly respected community leader, philanthropist, Nigerian patriot and a true Christian.
The Memorial Service, which will take place at the Church of Assumption Falomo, Ikoyi Lagos from 12 noon was announced by Ego Ngozi Mbagwu, former Director, Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).
On that day, apart from the Church Service, family, friends, relatives and associates of the leader of leaders, from all over the world, would remember with nostalgia the beautiful life she lived and remember the passage to glory of this Amazon, and celebrate, in their own way, a loving mother, great daughter, wonderful sister, excellent auntie and adorable friend and benefactor.
An alumnus of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), Nigeria, the memory of the widely travelled and much-loved lady would remain indelible in the hearts of all who came in contact with her, especially members of the large family, close friends and associates as well as colleagues at the NIS, an institution she served meritoriously and with unflinching commitment.
