Gov. Mutfwang hails Chief Makama on award as Model of Commitment to CORFEPS ideals

Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has joined other well-wishers, admirers, and associates in celebrating Chief Samu’ila Danko Makama on his recognition as the Model of Commitment to the Ideals of the Consortium of Retired Federal Permanent Secretaries (CORFEPS).

In a congratulatory message, Governor Mutfwang described Chief Makama as a seasoned technocrat and towering intellectual whose invaluable contributions to Nigeria’s public sector remain immeasurable, a statement by Gyang Bere, Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Executive Governor of Plateau State said.

The Governor noted that as Nigeria’s former Governor at the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Chief Makama consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication to sound policy formulation, policies that strengthened governance and advanced national development.

He commended CORFEPS for identifying Chief Makama for such a befitting honour, stressing that the recognition is thoroughly deserved given his moral strength, exemplary service, and steadfast commitment to ideals that have shaped public policy while promoting peace, unity, and national cohesion.

Governor Mutfwang further praised Chief Makama’s leadership qualities, describing him as a man of integrity, humility, and steadfast devotion to the common good, attributes that continue to inspire generations across professions.

On behalf of his family, the Government, and the peace-loving people of Plateau State, Governor Mutfwang conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to Chief Samu’ila Danko Makama on this well-deserved honour. He prayed for God’s continued guidance, good health, and the strength to keep offering purposeful leadership and mentorship to younger generations.

Chief Makama is also a former Chairman of the National Population Commission, NPC.
