Massive support for Peter Obi in North East zone; He thanks electorate, visits Chibok area

Mr. Peter Obi, the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the February 25, 2023 presidential election has expressed effusive thanks to the electorate in the North East geo-political zone of the country for the “massive support” that he and his team have received in the states in the region that they have visited for the party’s Presidential campaign rallies and meetings.
Mr. Obi, his running mate, Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed and other leaders of the LP have been in the zone canvassing votes and after the visits to Gombe and Borno states, Mr. Obi tweeted: “Again, the massive support we received at Gombe and Borno States… reassured me of the very victory we as Nigerians look forward to, for the good and progress of our nation.
“We will win together as a nation! Thank you Gombe! Thank you Borno! -PO.”
Large crowds of supporters attended the programmes in the states, with Mr. Obi making a surprise visit to Biu Emirate, the Southern part of Borno State and by the historic visit became the first Nigerian Presidential Candidate of note to visit the area.
There are reports of wild jubilation erupting from among the people of the area which includes natives drawn from Chibok, Gwoza, Hawul, Askira Uba and the entire nine Local Government Areas who expressed disbelief that a popular Nigerian Presidential Candidate would, in spite of the tenuous security situation in the area, remember and visit them.
In Bauchi State, Mr. Obi, Dr. Datti Baba-Ahmed and other LP leaders were also very well received, with a prominent first-class Emir hailing Mr. Obi as the incoming President of Nigeria, by the grace of God.
