Labour Party (LP) Presidential Candidate in the February 25, 2023, election, has described late Chief Humphery Anumudu as “a man who believed that Nigeria should be governed well,” noting that the departed political stalwart and business leader was “a very supportive and loyal Labour Party member who played a significant part in the recent successes of the Party during the Elections.”
Mr. Obi, in a tweet, confirmed that he was in Owerri, Imo State for the burial of Anumudu, who, according to him, was until his demise, “one of the aspirants in the recently concluded Labour Party’s gubernatorial Primary elections in Imo State.”
The former Governor of Anambra State also said that he assured the bereaved family of “constant support and prayers, especially in these challenging times.”
Chief Anumudu, who had been in the governorship race of Imo State severally in the past, had joined the race for the Labour Party ticket for the Imo Governorship election before his sudden death, which left his family, political and business associates devastated.
